Artist Statement

There is a part of the city which is publicly owned but not publicly accessible.  The entrances to these dark spaces are unlocked but difficult to open.  These are the sewer, storm, and utility tunnels under our streets.  I show you the doorways, heavy cast iron grates and disks.  They are a flat part of our urban landscape over which we walk and drive.

All of my photos in this show are printed on Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper with Epson Ultrachrome K3 pigmented ink
